A Bundle of Silences (1871) is a project in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Paris Commune with the support of the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten and the International Institute of Social History. Artifacts, sounds, and artworks related to the history of the Paris Commune will be activated here. These serve as the basis for ongoing artistic research about transhistorical associations that reconfigure the events of the Paris Commune both in its overlooked precedents and ongoing aftermath.
